My mom is a retired teacher. While growing up, I saw her how she spent her time helping her students and parents. She spent her own money to buy school supplies. She made her own visual aids and teaching materials . I witnessed her sleepless nights just to plan and prepare her lessons. I saw my mom satisfied and happy as she was helping and supporting her students.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

Every time I work hand in hand with my students. Doing a project, especially when I became part of a team of students and teachers where our team was part of a robotics competition. I experienced to be a part of a support system to my students. I was there to guide them and help them carry out a plan to reach their goal.

What would you do with the $25,000?

This will help me as a teacher to purchase more resources to use, aside from the resources provided by the school. I can improve myself as a teacher to further my studies and be able add specialization license as a Science teacher. I can use it for rewards to improve student motivation. Furthermore, the funds can be for personal expenses for my family, especially my children who are in the middle school and high school. My eldest is a graduating senior who I know will need financial support.
