I love being able to work with kids from my community and being party of the school family. I get to see kids grow from Kindergarten to 12.

I grew up in a small town, graduated with a class of 25 students. The school is for grades kindergarten to 12th grade. I enjoyed attending a school with the close bond everyone had and decided I wanted to continue to be part of it. After college I returned to my old school and am now on my 12th year teaching there.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceNow that I have been teaching for 12 years I have seen the students literally grow from kindergarteners to seniors graduating high school. The best part of being a teacher if building connections with my students that last more than just a school year or two. I have students coming back to see me and tell me about their lives and how much they have grown. I have seen students work to achieve their goals and become successful citizens of our community. I am always so proud to see who they become.
What would you do with the $25,000?Teaching is not a career you get into for the pay. I would use the money to help pay for bills and daycare for my two young children.
