Learn MoreI knew I wanted to be a teacher from the moment I stepped into my kindergarten classroom. Initially, it was because I saw my teacher was able to get a soda from the teacher’s lounge. But after watching my teachers touch so many lives, I knew it was my calling.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience this far was getting a bunch of my middle schoolers’ personal poetry published in the Students’ Anthology of Poetry. It got the students engaged in our unit, and also made them engage with their writing. Many said that the writing was something to enjoy, not dread, for the first time in secondary. The ones who were published were so proud. Truly a great time.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would pay down my student loans and get that burden off my shoulders so I can focus on my day to day and be in the moment.
