Tell us why you became a teacher

I tutored students in math frequently throughout high school and college and found that serving and helping others that struggles was very satisfying and fulfilling. I’ve always enjoyed math and how it describes the world around us as well as introducing students to those applications and the fun, easy ways to remember them.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

In my four years of teaching, my lost memorable experience has been in my Personal Finance class when the students completed a taste test between name brand and off brand foods to compare prices while discovering strategies to save money at the grocery store!

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would give 10% to my home church, and would save/invest the rest while for the opportunity to purchase a newer car before my old one breaks down or save for a down payment on a house.
