I teach to show that all students can learn and have value.

I became a teacher because I wanted to work in a role where I could see myself making a difference. I had worked in sales and business roles prior to becoming a teacher, but I didn't get the amount of joy out of my accomplishments that others did. I decided to make a change and have never looked back.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy most memorable teaching experience was watching my first student graduate. He struggled in so many ways and had so many things stacked against him. Despite all of it, he persevered and earned his high school diploma.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I won the $25,000, I would invest it back into my community. I work in a relatively affluent school district, but not everyone enjoys the same luxuries of life. We have students who are hungry and who are denied meals because of their lack of funds. I would use the money to help start a program that would ensure that all kids received their meals at school regardless of their ability to pay.
