I remember my own Preschool teacher, Mrs. Franklin, in my hometown, and she made learning so fun and exciting that I never wanted to leave school. I wanted to be a safe place for kids to be able to play, learn at their pace, ask questions and allow them to answer as creatively/randomly as they want, and it does heal Little ME every time they give me the chance to try again. They're so full of love and chaos and they deserve to be seen/treated as the fully formed human beings they are.

A 3yo student that wanted me to read them a story during nap. Their little hand held mine as we read about growing up. They asked me about the circle of life (recently watched Lion King) & asked what happens to our bodies when we pass. They asked so earnestly & pleaded that I be honest (Mom thanked me for that). I fully cried because it helped ME cope w/ something so profoundly inevitable. I told them about traditional means, becoming a planted tree, being in a pretty vase, or becoming jewelry.

I've had some health issues that have impacted my presence in the classroom and I'd like to address those things without fear of finance so I can put into myself, therefore putting more into my kiddos. I also want to travel and learn abroad to better equip my teacher tool kit with knowledge and resource. I want to put more into mutual aid and community campaigns to uplift folks around me. Lastly, pay down some student debt so I can move forward and upward.
