Teaching gives me the opportunity to connect with our youth and make a difference in the lives of the students I teach. Very rewarding.

Both my parents are teachers, so I have seen how rewarding being a teacher can be since I was young. I want to make a real difference during my time here on Earth, and I feel like being a teacher is a great way to do that. Teaching is the most rewarding job there is; watching your students walk across that stage on graduation and enter the real world equipped with the skills that myself and other teachers helped them acquire makes the struggles of the school year worth it.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy first year teaching, there was a senior that was falling way behind and other teachers gave up on him and even told him to just plan on coming back and finishing his classes the next year. I had a one-on-one with him and drew up a plan on how to get back on track, and checked in with him a couple times a week to see how things were going. I showed him that it was possible, and broke it down day by day on what he needed to get done so he wasn’t overwhelmed with work. He graduated on time!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use this $25,000 to pay off my student loans. This would help my fiancé and I start this next chapter of our lives on a better step financially. I would then be able to also go back to school and continue my education without the fear of putting our family that we are starting together even farther in debt because of student loans.
