Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I love working with kids and seeing their progress and growth. Every day is different, and I love the excitement students bring into the classroom. Building relationships with students, families, and colleagues is so special to me. The ability to make a positive impact on my students' lives fills my heart with love and warmth, and there's nothing more rewarding than helping them learn, grow, and believe in themselves.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

It's hard to choose just one memorable experience because there have been so many, but the moments that stand out the most are when students have their "light blub" moments. Seeing them go from struggling to understanding, making connections, and truly grasping the material is incredible. Watching their confidence grow and their love for learning develop fills me with pride. These moments, where students realize their own potential, are the most rewarding and memorable parts of teaching

What would you do with the $25,000?

Winning America's Favorite Teacher and receiving $25,000 would allow me to create unforgettable experiences for my family of six. As both my husband and I are educators with differing schedules, this prize would enable us to take our four boys on a special vacation, strengthening our family bond. Additionally, investing in a new, spacious vehicle would ensure comfortable travel to sports events and family road trips, enhancing our quality time together.
