I love teaching science! I get to teach science all day to students in K-5th grade. Science is my passion and share it with the whole school

I originally was studying to be a doctor, but then decided on school psychologist. After working in a school setting, I realized that I loved being with a group of students everyday. Helping them become the best they can be. Most kids think science is so fascinating. I love encouraging that fascination, while getting down to the facts of how the everything works!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI would say that my most memorable teaching experience was a small one. It was during Covid and I was teaching science online right out of my bedroom! I had to find a way to make it great. I brought home crayfish, mealworms and plants from school and set them up in my house. While teaching one online class, my assistant principal joined in and said that my lesson was so fun and motivating even if it was online. That made me feel like I can do anything!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would help both of my sons who are in college. It’s tough for a single mom and teacher. I would also get some great science materials for my lab.
