I became a teacher because I am passionate about helping others grow and learn. Teaching allows me to inspire curiosity, critical thinking, foster creativity, and empower students to realize their potential.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

During a social skills lesson, students had to choose from a set of candy bars, with only one of each kind. Alex, a student on the autism spectrum, spotted his favorite but recognized that John wanted it too. He said, "I really want this one, but I think John really wants it," and chose a different candy bar. It was a simple, instinctive act of empathy, showing how Alex had developed an understanding of others' feelings. It was a small moment, but it meant a lot to both of them.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won $25,000, I’d start by paying off my student loan debt to reduce financial stress and free up more of my income for future goals. After that, I’d invest the remaining money into my future business. I’d use it to set up a tutoring and teaching service for homeschool students—whether it’s for marketing, getting the right materials, or even securing a space. This would allow me to build a sustainable career doing what I love, helping students thrive in a personalized learn
