I come from a family with a strong emphasis on education. My mother, an exceptional high school English teacher, was so inspiring that her district dedicated a day in her honor. She is one of six women in our family who have chosen teaching as their profession. Although I faced challenges in learning as a child, my father, a school psychiatrist, taught me how to make it fun, which motivated me greatly. As a social studies teacher, I strive to incorporate real-life experiences into my lessons. Besides the proud moment of achieving a perfect score on my BEST portfolio in Connecticut, I then relocated San Diego and then Colorado, where I am currently teaching. I was touched to receive a letter from a former student who shared that, among all his teachers, I was the one who truly taught him how to write. Hearing stories of my students' successes brings me immense joy.

Teachers in Colorado face low salaries. If I had $25,000, I would put it towards my mortgage. Living in Colorado is challenging without a roommate. My dream is to eventually have my own space for financial stability. Additionally, I wish to travel more and gather experiences to share with my students.
