Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher to become as instrumental in the lives of my students as my teachers were in mine. They had such a powerful and profound influence in shaping my life and encouraging me to be whatever I wanted to be in life! They made me believe I could accomplish anything!

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I had the incredible opportunity of teaching students on the mission field in Vajta, Hungary! My school in South Florida created an extension of our school to students of families serving in Eastern Europe. We had many unique challenges to say the least! The opportunity called for us to be resilient and resourceful in order to meet the needs of our learners. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience teaching abroad!

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would like to be debt free and help a few non- profit organizations that I love! I am a caregiver for my senior father who lives with me. He is currently in a wheelchair and I would like to have more assistance for us.
