I have type 1 diabetes and always had wonderful people in my corner caring for me. I chose to go into a job where I serve others and I get to give back the love and care I was gifted.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceWe have a class picture from earlier in the year. We have it in a magnetic clear frame placed on the sides of our classroom door with other pictures of their families. We do this so that if they are having a hard time saying goodbye, they have a way to still be with their family. One of our students that has been having struggles at home brought over our class picture to me. He said “this is family.” I said “you’re right, this is our class family.”
What would you do with the $25,000?I would love to put it towards my wedding. I am getting engaged within the next few months and this would be an amazing gift to have towards our special day.
