Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I have a passion for inspiring young minds and fostering a love for learning. Education has the power to transform lives, and I wanted to be a part of that journey. Growing up, I had teachers who made a significant impact on me, and I aspire to do the same for my students. I believe in creating a positive and engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking. Witnessing the growth and achievements of my students motivates me every day!

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience was in my first classroom, filled with eager first graders—some were a bit nervous, too. The energy in the room was infectious, and I was reminded of how important it is to create a welcoming environment where young minds can thrive. It was an honor to shape their understanding of the world and open their eyes to endless possibilities. Guiding them through the joys of learning, fostering curiosity, and watching their eagerness as they grasped new concepts.

What would you do with the $25,000?

As a single woman, my first priority would be to pay off my college loans, freeing myself from that financial burden and allowing me to breathe easier. Next, I would invest in my personal development, perhaps taking courses that could enhance my career. I’d also set aside some funds for a savings account to build security for the future and make plans for a memorable travel experience to broaden my horizons.
