Tell us why you became a teacher

My journey as a teacher is joined with my love for music. It is a subject that captures beauty, mathematics, history, and personal growth—all vital components of life. By sharing the joy of music with my students, I hope to inspire them to appreciate its significance and its power to enrich their lives. Music is more than just a subject; it is a vibrant force that shapes who we are and how we connect with one another. Music is life.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

A memorable teaching experience was the opportunity for the chorus to visit the Governor's office. For many of them, this was a life-changing experience. They began to understand that their voices matter, that they can influence change, and that their dreams are within reach. Also, I have written school plays that provided students with great opportunities to see that musical figures have paved the way for us in so many ways to have a life full of enriching opportunities.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I will use the funds to help with putting a down payment on a home for myself to help my family too. My mom passed in 2023 and being a homeowner is something that I promised her and my grandparents. I want to have a place that my family could come enjoy spending time with all of us together. Lastly, Hawaii has been my dream vacation for many years to go it would be amazing goal completed on my bucket list to go to Hawaii!
