I love seeing my students finally grasp a concept after struggling with it! Seeing their pride in their work makes the hard days worth it.

Learn MoreI have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. I used to play school with stuffed animals and beg my parents to get me school supplies. Ultimately, I became a teacher because I love learning and want to pass my love for learning on to the next generation.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne year, I had just 4th grade on my learning support caseload. I was able to do a lot of co-teaching with one amazing teacher in particular, who had so much energy and excitement for learning. I learned so much from watching her teach! We did so many fun “room transformations” like a glow day, Starbucks book reading day, and a hard rock day.
What would you do with the $25,000?I have a lot of student debt! I keep going back to school because I keep finding new things that interest me in education. While I would like to spend the money towards a down payment on a house, I would most likely use it to chip away at my loans. Also, I am in the lowest paying district in my county. While I love the district, my pay is not substantial to continue to make ends meet.
