Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceNearly forty years ago, on my first day as a teacher, a student put his head down on his open binder. The rings snapped shut and cut his forehead, causing blood to stream down his face and all over his desk. I thought, “my teaching career can only improve from here.”
What would you do with the $25,000?I spent the first part of my teaching career without a college degree. In 2012, at age 50, I took a break from teaching to get my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. I would use the prize money to help pay off my student loans.
