Growing up I didn’t have the best experiences in school. I was always happy but just never felt confident in myself when it came to learning. So I wanted to be a positive person for kids to come to when they need a little extra boost of confidence. I’ve always gravitated towards the littles- at family events I was the “babysitter” who would just watch the kids because I loved it. I love being silly with kiddos and having fun while learning how to be a good human along with life long skills.

Oh there so so many… the one that comes to mind is one of my students had a medical emergency- and from then he struggled with a lot. I put so much effort into just loving him & to this day that family says I changed both their boys learning for the better and wish they could have me forever.

I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer at the age of 26. Over this past year I’ve done 6 months of chemotherapy, a bilateral mastectomy, 16 rounds of radiation, and will be on hormone therapy for 5+ years. I want to see this beautiful word, I’ve never been to Hawaii and would love to celebrate being done with active cancer treatment. I would use the 25k to pay off all my medical bills and help me start a healthier lifestyle. I want to also help younger women who are being diagnosed.
