Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I have always loved working with children. I followed in my mother’s footsteps. Teaching is my passion. I love teaching my students lifelong lessons that extend beyond the classroom. Leaving a positive and memorable impact on my students is what I strive for daily.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience has been to teach Kindergarten without an assistant for a year. I watched children who barely could recognize their name, write, or even begin to read turn into beginner readers and writers! They kept growing and learning!! Each year, is memorable! I LOVE what I do!

What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25,000, I would definitely do something fun for my students!! Purchase more resources for my classroom. I would also donate something to my school to end the school year in an exciting way. This money would also help me finish my postgraduate studies so I can continue perfecting my craft and more!
