I love encouraging students to be comfortable and have fun while learning high school math. Everyone has something to be confident about.

Register NowBoth of my parents were teachers, so education was a very important part of my household. I did not go to college thinking I would become a teacher. When the President of my college hired me to tutor his daughter for math, I realized I had a calling for being an educator and that is where my natural skill set fell.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne time, on a March 31st, I had assigned only 1 problem for homework… for students just to try the technique we had learned during the class. The next day, as I walked around checking the attempt, not one student would open their notebooks because they didn’t try it. I was so disappointed that I went to the front of the room to lament to them. As I started to declare my disappointment, one student yells out “April Fools!” To which they ALL opened their notebooks to show me 100% HW attempts.
What would you do with the $25,000?Pay off some debt and help fix some areas of my house. My husband and I are both public school teachers. We live a comfortable life, but there is not a lot of extra money. This would help considerably.
