I love teaching because I love watching my students develop confidence in their skills and knowing I played a part in their success.

Tell us why you became a teacher

From a very young age I wanted to be a teacher. Growing up my teachers helped me develop skills and encouraged me to do my best. My teachers made me feel loved and confident in my abilities, and I wanted to past that feeling into others.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

Teaching my students about day and night was a memorable experience. Seeing them "get it" and wanting to change places to demonstrate their understanding made me feel great. The next day, one child explained how she showed showed her family how day and night worked and they did the activity we did in class. Knowing I helped my students make connections and seeing that they were eager to share what they learned with others made me so proud.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25,000, I would pay off some debt, put some money in savings, and purchase some much wanted materials/curriculum training programs to help my classroom be more innovative.
