While I feel like I happened into teaching after taking an afterschool teaching position, it quickly became clear this is what I was meant to do. Seeing the little and big moments of success and being there for the moments of failure to encourage them to keep trying is a gift that I am eternally grateful to experience each year.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceIt's hard to pinpoint one most memorable teaching experience. It's the little moments of a student understanding something for the first time, achieving a personal goal, and all the other positive moments that make kids smile and become core memories. Our school does a 5th-grade bridging ceremony for our students at the end of the year. This is always memorable because I have taught some of these students for over 3 years and seeing their success and excitement is always a favorite memory.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would pay off some student loans and go to Greece!
