To encourage children to be who they really are in a safe environment. They deserve someone who is willing to speak up for them when they can’t do it themselves.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

When one of my teaching jobs was coming to an end one of my students came up and said she was said she couldn’t see me everyday day anymore and that she would miss me doing her hair and also miss learning with me. I saw her a year and a half later and she ran up to me screaming my name and gave me the biggest hug. She said she still misses me teaching her every day. That’s when I knew I could make a difference in children’s lives in a safe environment.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Take my family on a well deserved vacation and put some of it into making my classroom a better environment for each student that comes through my doors.
