I became a teacher because of the children. Their curiosity, their boundless energy their potential to shape our future. It is magical to witness, children laugh, and learn each day. I have a deep belief that education can transform lives. Children are our future and by teaching them, I have the privilege of shaping a better world.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceA student that was struggling in third grade, found a connection with me and ended up thriving. The team and his parents wanted to put him in special education, and I thought he did not belong there. I fought for that child he came back to visit me in his late 20s working for the department of national security with tears in his eyes and told me I changed his life. That is why I teach!
