I became a special educator in order to provide students with disabilities an equitable education where they are prepared to be successful adults.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI will never forget teaching English to students with cognitive impairments and increasingly challenging and building my students’ reading skills so much that three of them have moved from a self-contained program to diploma bound with resource support!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would build a more substantial vocational training program for students with disabilities in our district that provides hard and soft skills instruction to increase potential for competitive employment and independent adult living skills.
