Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because of my love for my third grade teacher. Linda Williams was the sweetest, kindest, warm person. I adored her and wanted to be just like her!

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching moment was helping a fourth grader with absolute illegible handwriting use voice to text. The next year he moved school districts but he told his teacher how amazing I was and how much I helped him! When his mother told me what he said about me, I cried!

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I had $25,000 to spend on my classroom, I would purchase white board tables that can also convert to vertical whiteboards. Vertical whiteboards for small groups of students are an excellent collaboration tool. Everyone is facing the board and not hanging over a table with shoulders bumping. These tables are spendy at about $2,000 per table.
