Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I saw my college friend struggle to have someone watch her child as we finished high school. So I became her village. We took turns to raise her child. At that moment now her child is older she is a volunteer being a village for not just children but the elderly, autistic, animals, and homeless.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching moment was when I had a student who never spoke become outspoken . He wrote his high school Graduation speech based on my kind words and graduated top of his class .

What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25000 I can open up my own tutoring and aftercare program . We need places for children and families to help continue to build education and to stay a village.
