Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher to make a difference in the lives of others, inspire curiosity, and foster growth. Teaching allows me to share my passion for learning, empower students to reach their potential, and contribute to shaping a brighter future. It’s a path driven by purpose, connection, and the desire to leave a lasting impact.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience is when my 4th grade student wrote me a letter requesting to get out of self-contained class. I promised to do my part if he would manage his behavior and maintain his grades. Long story short, his senior year in high school he and his mom came to see me and thanked me for all that I did for him. He had received scholarships to attend college and was preparing to graduate. This was a definite reminder of my “why”.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would go on a much needed vacation and pay some debt off for sure.
