I had some really great teachers and coaches throughout my academic career. They really inspired me and pushed me to work hard, persevere, and be a good human being. And I want to do the same to my students.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI teach Physical Education, K-12. I had a high school student who really struggled with her weight. PE and personal fitness really wasn’t her favorite but really wanted to change her habits. She is 27 years old now and is a personal trainer. She will message me still and tell me how thankful she is that she took my class in high school.
What would you do with the $25,000?Honestly, I would possibly donate it to our softball program at the school. I am the head softball coach, and my student athletes would love to have their own locker rooms/clubhouse.
