I always wanted to be a teacher from a very young age. I had an incredible Kindergarten teacher, who became a close friend of the family. I always aspired to be like her... a fun, kind, and engaging teacher. I've always loved children and have had a special touch with connecting with them. Teaching young children how to read, math skills, fine motor skills, cultural studies, science...everything! Teaching the future is my passion.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

The most memorable experiences are when a child learns to read or masters a skill and the excitement within them is like a rocket ready to launch. I love watching as they hit that point and just continue to soar! Another memorable experience which I cherish is when my former students, who are now in college, leave me a note on my classroom door saying they remember my classroom and all the great things they learned.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use toward rent, car payment, bills and paying off loans. This would be so helpful to me!
