I come from a family of educators who I love and respect. They showed me that teaching is truly a vocation. Additionally, I had some pretty extraordinary teachers growing up.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI am all about giving my students experiences. In addition to teaching, I am also involved in theater. This past year, I made it into my first professional, regional theater production, and my students were able to take field trips and many from the school came to watch me during the weekend performances.
What would you do with the $25,000?I started a theater program a couple of years ago at my school, and I am so proud of the work that the students have done in our productions. We rent out a theater with lighting, costumes for each actor, and have an amazing set designer. I would love to put money to this program in addition to paying some of my bills.
