Learn MoreI became a teacher to serve as a positive role model for my students and to create a welcoming, engaging learning environment. Many students struggle to find joy in school, and my goal has always been to foster a classroom where they feel excited to learn and supported in their growth.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne of my most memorable teaching experiences was working with a student who initially struggled with anger and overstimulation in the classroom. Over time, through patience, consistency, and focusing on small victories, we were able to help him engage in learning and build the skills necessary for long-term success. Seeing his transformation and knowing he was better prepared for future academic challenges was incredibly rewarding.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would use this funding to help cover expenses during an upcoming medical leave. Due to a vocal cord surgery, I will need to take a month off from teaching and will be unable to work or speak for six weeks. This financial support would provide peace of mind, allowing me to focus on recovery without the added stress of lost income as I transition into the summer months.
