Since I was in elementary school, I used to help other teachers and I always looked up to them, I had so much respect and admiration for them that I always knew that was what I wanted to be when I grew up. I also always loved children, as well as volunteering at community centers and teaching children at church. Everyone I know told me that I was destined to be a teacher, I have a lot of patience and passion for education. I want to make a positive impact in my students lives.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

Wow, I've been teaching for ten years now, so it's going to be hard to pick one. But if I had to sum up a memorable teaching experience, I'd say overall it was making my classroom a safe-happy place for my students, where they feel loved. Last year, I had several students with anxiety, depression, and one student dealing with suicidal thoughts. Knowing that they overcame those challenges with my support, seeing where they are now and how well they are doing, really fills me with joy and pride.

What would you do with the $25,000?

A challenge I am currently facing is to become a mom myself. How I explained before, I have always loved children and I would love to have a family of my own. I am an immigrant and I started teaching in the US on 2021, getting myself established in California has been very challenging and that money would really help me to start a family. 🥰🙏🏽
