Teaching is the ultimate gift. Conveying knowledge is a noble gift we are charged with. I teach not only 8th graders but college students.

Learn MoreWorking as an instructional assistant, I found my educational calling while working with special education and behavioral students. I yearned to have my own classroom where every student felt safe and valued. I returned to college and earned my degree in Natural Science with a middle school concentration. I have since gotten my master's and Doctorate degrees in education with a STEM concentration.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceWhen you teach, every day is a memorable one. Whether it is seeing a student have an "ah ha" moment when learning something new and challenging or laughing along with students over a funny situation, teaching is what I love to do.
What would you do with the $25,000?I never have enough supplies to do all the experiments I want to do with my students. Therefore, I would use some funds to stock our middle school's science supply needs fully.
