Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a paraprofessional by accident cause I definitely needed to change jobs, at the time after had broken my foot in 2019. In March of 2020, just as the schools closed down during the pandemic I started to be a teachers aid. It has been very trying at times and rewarding even though we haven't been able to have health insurance. That is because we are still considered as part time employees.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

The most memorable are when your students come to you and just give you hug with no questions asked. Even though you are constantly redirecting them and keeping them on task. I could be repeating myself with these kids 10 times over plus loosing my voice.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Pay off my school loan that was my sons. Trade in my car for better one. Purchase some new toy for the pre-k sandbox and possibly other playground equipment that they need desperately. When there in over 55 pre-k.
