I became a teacher to improve the quality and potential of children’s futures. I love to see children engage with their learning and take ownership over it. I have seen students overcome incredible obstacles, and I am always grateful to be part of their story!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy best teaching memories are from helping the students who should have been “held back” in kindergarten. I love helping them succeed and realize their own potential. I love watching them learn to read and thrive in first grade. When they are overwhelming prepared for second grade, that is the biggest feeling of success for me.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would spend time with my own kids and family with the money. I would give part of it away, and make sure to help my mom who is struggling financially. I would invest the rest and help save for retirement which is difficult to do on a teachers salary!
