A few years back I was a prep time teacher teaching computers and I taught all the kids in the whole school. I really admired the other teachers and wanted to work with a class of my own so I put in the work to get my teaching license. I have loved working with first and second grade students and especially watching them learn how to read. I also have a love affair with phonics. I think they are so fun to teach and learn! Teaching inspires me to be a better person.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceOne of my favorite teaching experiences is after we got through with a math unit on measurement, one of my students said to me, “I’m going to ask for things to measure with for Christmas!” I thought that was so great that he loved measuring things so much that a tape measure made the top of his Christmas list!
What would you do with the $25,000?I would love to travel with my kids to Europe. We are practicing our Duolingo everyday so we will be ready!
