In high school, I fell in love with biology: I loved how it explained how life all around me worked. I wanted to take all the knowledge I learned and pass it on to others, so I knew I wanted to teach science!
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI was selected as a Teacher Ranger Teacher for the National Park Service. I got to spend my summer in New Mexico helping a national monument create a lesson that other teachers could use!
What would you do with the $25,000?I want to donate it to help pay for my school's annual science camp field trip. Our sixth graders get to spend a week in the redwood forest learning about nature. Since many families can't pay for the trip, I would love to make sure all students can attend without worrying about the cost.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like America's Favorite Teacher, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
