I became a teacher because it called me. After four years of working at an extreme sports summer camp I recognized my connection with the campers. Teaching is important to me because it goes beyond sharing knowledge; it shapes lives, ignites passions, and empowers individuals to reach their potential. Teachers don’t just teach subjects, they inspire confidence, encourage curiosity, and guide students toward becoming their best selves.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One day, a shy student named Mia came up to me after class, nervous about her upcoming presentation. I reassured her, telling her I believed in her. We practiced together, and I saw her confidence grow with each attempt. When the day came, Mia stood tall, delivered her speech flawlessly, and smiled afterward. She told me it was the first time she truly felt capable. That moment reminded me why I teach—to help students discover their strength.

What would you do with the $25,000?
