Tell us why you became a teacher

Teaching is a profession where you can have a direct impact on shaping minds and futures, be a role model, and continuously learn and grow alongside your students. The desire to make a difference, ignite curiosity, and help students realize their potential are some of the core reasons someone might become a teacher.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

One day I had planned an engaging lesson on the American Revolution. I remembered how my students had been fascinated by the stories of the Founding Fathers, the battles, and the fight for independence. As I entered my classroom, I was greeted by eager faces and a chorus of "Good morning, Mr. Mills So I kicked off the lesson with a dramatic reenactment of the Boston Tea Party, complete with props and costumes. The students were captivated, their eyes wide with wonder. Just to see the smiles.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Since retirement is slowly approaching, to be honest I probably would take my wife to Hawaii. It will be a great anniversary present/ Retirement gift.
