Tell us why you became a teacher

I became a teacher because I needed a job where I could be on a similar schedule as my son and I knew I had to do something where I work with kids.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience recently is actually when I was being observed for Teacher of the Year at my school in the class with one of my Autistic students and as we were reviewing types of slope, he got so excited about the memory devices we used to connect to the different types of slope that he kept repeating it and laughing about it and I was able to praisr him for remembering and ease him back down to keep going right through the lesson.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would purchase a car to keep.making the 45 minute commute to my school that I love and have taught at since 2006. My current car has brake and axle issues, the AC doesn't work AND I cannot open either front car door from the inside, have to put down the windows to open the doors.
