I've always dreamed of becoming a teacher. Growing up on a farm in rural Wisconsin, I gained a wealth of knowledge about nature and science. After spending 20 years in environmental education, I finally had the opportunity to bring my passion for science education into the classroom. I enjoy presenting the curriculum in a variety of ways so that each student finds their best way to learn and excel.

My most memorable experince was the Eclipse of 2024! Our area experienced about 88% penumbra. I was blessed with the opportunity to help get all of our middle school students outside and in solar eclipse glasses to witness this historical event. It was an incredible and unforgettable experience!

We enjoy traveling together as a family and discovering new cultures and scenery. One of our dreams is to explore Europe and visit locations like the Beaches of Normandy, where we can connect with the historical remnants that tell their stories. These experiences would also enrich my lessons for my students by allowing me to incorporate the knowledge gained back into the classroom.
