Tell us why you became a teacher

My parents were my first educators and instilled a love of learning Teaching runs in my family as I have aunts and cousins who are in the profession. I spent a lot of time helping my aunt Jeanne which made teaching feel like second nature to me. I am incredibly proud to teach French because it allows me to preserve and promote a language with rich heritage.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I have had many “aha” moments , but most recent memorable one was when Flo Franco came to Nashua High School North The students were completely immersed in the experience, singing their hearts out to the Flo’s music. The energy in the room was extraordinary. It was magical to see the students connect with the language and culture. It was a reminder of how music and real-life experience made the students come alive. Watching the students excitement was a memorable teaching experience.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won $25,000 I would initially scream of joy. I would invite more French Singers to our school. I would organize a trip to Boston to a french restaurants or go see a French performer. I may also buy some more crêpe makers as my machines are getting a little old.
