I always loved art first. Grew up in a large family where being the oldest means always being a teacher, by default. When you combine these ideas my family is also filled with teachers and thus teaching seemed a natural choice for a career. I am honored to be an art teacher for over 20 years. My students are the magic, I just help to craft the creativity.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceHard to tell. I had a really big art show, that was a big deal and had a wide range of events from Indian dancers to a petting zoo, and included lots of student art. But my happy moments are when my students understand the creativity of the lesson and run with it and trully love art like me.
What would you do with the $25,000?Save for my kids college. Pretty simple. I have 3 daughters. 17, 14, and 12. As a teacher, it’s pretty hard to save for college.
