Jessica Frizzell

Seeing how far a student can come in just a school years time is why I love this job. My passion is fully in Kindergarten! I LOVE what I do!

Tell us why you became a teacher

Kids and specifically early childhood has been my passion from a young age. It all started with my high school job of working at a daycare and I stuck to it until where I am today. I strive to make relationships with kids and their families! Being apart of a community is another benefit of this field. It is the only profession that made sense for me!

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

Each day is something new and exciting so it is difficult to choose one, however, I was selected as teacher of the week by a local news station my second year of teaching. This was such a sweet and yet validating experience! As a young teacher that was just finding her footing after starting during COVID I was honored to even be seen or recognized. I got to talk on the news station about myself and things I love about teaching. It was amazing!

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use most of it to pay off my student loans. I am still paying for both my undergrad and graduate degrees. This would be a huge help. I would also put some of it towards a down payment on my first home! My husband and I are newlyweds who are working towards our next goal, which would be purchasing a house. Having help with this would mean so much and give us a stepping stone to achieve our dreams of being parents!
