Tell us why you became a teacher

I had a challenging childhood, but I was fortunate to have incredible role models who supported me in ways I didn't realize I needed. Some of these mentors were teachers. It wasn't always clear to me that I wanted to teach, but after deep reflection, I realized I wanted to give back in the same way my mentors did for me. I became a teacher to offer the same support, guidance, and inspiration that helped shape who I am today.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

My most memorable teaching experience was working with my most difficult students. It was incredibly rewarding to help them see their potential, to show them that they are capable of achieving great things. It's not just about academics, but about building their confidence and self-worth. Watching their transformation—when they began to believe in themselves and their abilities—reminded me why I became a teacher in the first place: to make a lasting impact.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25,000, I would focus on securing a stronger financial foundation for my family. Part of that would involve paying down obligations, while the rest would be invested to help build a brighter future for my daughters, giving them more opportunities and stability as they grow.
