I became a teacher because I know firsthand how much a great teacher/coach can impact a student’s life. I didn’t have the best childhood growing up, but my teachers and coaches believed in me, challenged me, and helped me grow into the person I am today. Their support and encouragement shaped my future, and now I want to do the same for every student I teach. My purpose is to inspire, uplift, and equip students with the skills and confidence they need to succeed, both in school and in life!

One of my most memorable teaching experiences has to be prepping for my school’s annual pep rallies. To prepare, I use PE time to teach my entire school teams cheers, chants, and their own school step routine! On performance day, the students are super excited and very involved, and their parents love being a part of the entire experience too! I love it because it helps build relationships with my students and it's my way of emphasizing the importance of tradition and history at our school!

First, I would begin to build my family’s dream home. I also plan to provide extra technology support for homework, tutoring, and resources to community programs like Our House, The Boys and Girls Club and other local youth groups. Some students don't have the privilege of technology and resources at home, so I want to help them have a reliable space to where they can get their work done. Lastly, I'd like to start my own non-profit organization to provide scholarships for high school graduates!
