Tell us why you became a teacher

I am passionate about science, love engaging my students with creative projects and movies, and care deeply about education—I became a teacher because you wanted to make a difference. I enjoy sparking curiosity in kids, helping them connect learning to real life, and creating a classroom where students feel loved, supported and inspired.

Tell us about your most memorable teaching experience

I love doing labs with my classes. Last year, we did a lab close to mothers day. The lab was educational, but each student ended it with a gift for their mom or mother figure. The joy that were on the students faces and thank yous for mothers was amazing.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With the money, I would split it with what I do with it. I would spend some on paying off bills. I would want to spend some on my classroom and give some to my church. The rest I would want to use to take my children on a vacation.
