I became a teacher because I wanted to make a difference in children’s lives. Children need champions in the corner to advocate for their best. I enjoy building relationships and discovering children’s interests.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceMy first year as a teacher a friend of mine loaned me her tree frog. I planned a week long unit in science around this frog. This was a kindergarten class and day 2 was watching the frog eat crickets. Only hiccup was the frog had passed away. Some how we “observed” our friend all day and then I sent him home “because his family missed him” and my students never discovered he died on day two of our lesson!
What would you do with the $25,000?My daughter has made many mistakes as a young adult and cannot afford school for college. I would use some of this to pay off her debt so she could go and get her degree. She wants to be a teacher!
