I have a passion for art and learning, so becoming a teacher was natural. I’m a people person, I get to inspire others and in turn they inspire me.
Tell us about your most memorable teaching experienceI have been teaching for 28 years at the same elementary. I love to watch my kindergarteners reaction when I tell them that I taught their Dad.
What would you do with the $25,000?The prize money would be spent on a vacation for me and my daughter. I rarely put myself first, but just this once I’ll treat myself to travel somewhere on my bucket list. Then I’d probably put some in savings. Teachers don’t retire, they can’t afford to, but when that time comes I would like to have a slightly bigger nest egg.
